As an editor, you will co-manage Insider Spotlights, which are part of Built In’s employer branding product offering. Insider Spotlights are in-depth Q&A format articles featuring original photography. The articles are designed to showcase employees working at premium employer companies sharing their authentic experiences working within a company or team culture, speaking to their professional growth journeys, as well as sharing the exciting tech innovations being built by their teams. The Insider Spotlight editor will co-manage editorial production, collaborate with writers to produce high-quality and compelling content, and directly manage a team of Insider Spotlight writers.

The Sr. Tech Writer will be responsible for writing 2 - 3 long-form articles per week highlighting new ideas and diving deep into what makes interesting people and companies successful in the technology industry. The Sr. Tech Writer will interview the most talented people across fields, disciplines and companies to surface actionable tactics — concrete actions people can take to live and do their jobs better today. Every article this person creates will contain advice and specific action items that can be applied immediately to make a difference. This includes interviewing some of the highest-caliber people working in tech today, from founders and CEOs to the very best in design, product management, engineering, sales, and more. A second-order goal is to reach readers who may someday become founders of companies, which includes telling bold, creative stories that will help readers learn and build new things.

As a senior staff writer, you will be joining our Brand Studio team, which is composed of writers, editors, designers, strategists and UX experts collaborating each day to develop high-quality content in support of the tech and startup community. This team is responsible for building out new features & products that allow Operators (the companies and individuals that own parking lots, garages and individual spots) to manage their spots via custom inventory rules and rule based price management. At least 2 years professional experience building software. Experienced with backend web development in untyped languages (preferably JavaScript, but Ruby or Python acceptable).
