As a Principal Salesforce Engineer at VillageMD, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between Salesforce, API’s, and our data platform, while building on tops of the SFDC platform itself. You will shape our vision for enabling technology that reduces friction for clinicians instead of increasing it with unnecessary data input. 

We use a mixture of technologies, and focus on those that help us get jobs done most efficiently. We leverage the latest platform technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker to enable developers to deliver software written in any language. We currently run microservices written in Ruby, Rust, Elixir, Javascript, and C++. Adhering to strong modularity fundamentals requires solid architectures and tooling. You will be working to support and redefine the continuous delivery infrastructure of the CancerIQ platform, while developing solutions that can incorporate microservices, linux containers, cloud-native and on-premise environments.

You’ll be responsible for helping to architect our platform, from redesigning our data pipelines to evolving our algorithms to scaling our web services. You’ll be working in our SwipeSense cloud (AWS) stack and helping collect, process, and analyze streaming sensor data and expose those results to various internal and external consumers in real-time. This role has wide breadth, and will tackle a variety of technologies and concepts – from messaging systems in Kinesis to processing steps in Lambdas to ETL systems in SQL to Python Algorithms to Services in Go to Ruby / Rails APIs to React Client Apps.
