Job Title: Operations Specialist
Reports To: Director of Operations
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
StratEx Partners handles HR and Payroll services for small to mid-sized companies. The Operations Specialist ensures timely communication and resolution of all banking and tax related matters. Additionally, this individual serves as the liaison between the StratEx staff and the bank.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

Maintains ACH returns and initiates transactional resolution for each item

Initiates stop payments, reversals, deletions and any other one-off banking items
-
Conducts monthly COBRA reconciliation

Reconciles various bank accounts
-
Assists in quarterly and annual tax filing
-
Assists in tying out new client prior data to quarterly tax returns
-
Reconciles ACH files to confirm that client payroll deposits are processed timely
-
Processes and submits amended returns on behalf of clients

Research everyday tax notifications on behalf of clients

Interacts with client directly regarding banking and tax inquiries

Assists in auditing printed payrolls

Serves as the backup for the Packaging Support Representative

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Basic understanding of Accounting principles

Ability to work flexible work hours during busiest time of year
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time while working

Must be able to proficiently operate a computer and desk phone as means of communication with colleagues and clients
