As a Marketing Specialist, Growth Marketing, you will be part of a fun, diverse, and dynamic team focused on growing Groupon’s customer base and engaging customers with the most beneficial and profitable solutions to drive long term value. You will define the strategies, scope, customer segmentation, and business cases for engaging programs that use marketing funds to grow Groupon’s customer base and drive long term value. You will be responsible for executing these marketing campaigns and driving continual improvement across your programs, gleaning insights from data to optimize and refine programming in partnership with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • You will define the strategy and scope of marketing programs focused on using marketing funds to drive customer growth, incremental revenue, and long term value

  • Partner with stakeholders across marketing channels, design, product, and finance to build, execute and optimize programs

  • You will lead marketing campaign planning, forecasting, deployment, testing, reporting and optimization

  • Partner with finance and accounting teams on financial oversight of the programs, including budget management, inventory management, accruals etc.

  • Track, analyze and report on key performance metrics, in partnership with Growth Marketing analytics

  • You will develop and support new program expansion opportunities with other Groupon teams to accelerate and diversify the program

  • Serve as subject matter expert to assist Marketing Leadership, Customer Service and IT teams with marketing related questions for addressing customer communication issues and troubleshooting programs

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in database-driven marketing, CRM experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • You have experience crafting, testing and executing marketing programs in an e-commerce or retail environment

  • Hands-on experience in email marketing execution; familiarity with major ESPs

  • You are fluent in key marketing metrics; able to develop actionable business insights through dashboards and via spreadsheet models

  • Understanding of lifecycle marketing concepts and customer segmentation

  • You have a collaborative and diplomatic approach to working with internal and external partners

  • Highly flexible, able to handle changing priorities and roles as business needs evolve

  • You are detail oriented with experience driving results in a dynamic environment

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

We are working on arriving at the optimal attribution models across different areas of our business. For example, the attribution of a purchase to a specific experience — a home page feature, an email, a push notification — likely has a different window of time where we can reasonably say a specific purchase is a result of a specific experience.
