In the past seven years, Zoro US has grown from a group of 6 people working out of a 2,000 square foot building, offering fewer than 100,000 products to a group of 275+ working out of a 60,000+ square foot building, offering more than 2,000,000 unique products. We've been successful in growing in large part due to our team. Zoro hires bright & hard-working individuals that are intent on growing our business & serving our customers. And we're looking to grow further!
Zoro is currently offering one paid internship for a passionate & driven individual interested in joining our Searchandising team for the summer of 2019. This is a full-time opportunity and will start early June and end in late August. The start and end dates can be flexible based on your semester schedule.
About the Searchandising Team:
The Searchandising Team does exactly what our name suggests: onsite search and merchandising. We spend our time analyzing the ways our customers shop for items on our site. Then, we do what we can to make it easier for them to locate and identify the right product-whether they prefer to search or navigate our vast assortment. We work with every other part of the business to make sure customers have the right information and tools to find the products they need to do their jobs and get on with their day. Most importantly, sugar highs are normal, Oreos take the place of pens and Packer posters are distributed in abundance.
This position will be working alongside the Searchandising team, improving the experience when customers search or navigate to products on our site. You will be making improvements to the results customers see, the product information interacted with and learning how customers behave. Ideally, the candidate should have an interest in e-commerce with a working knowledge of digital marketing, online marketplaces or consumer's online retail behavior. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ongoing thirst for improving Zoro.com's customer's experience is strongly desired.
By the time the intern leaves Zoro, he/she will have learned how to increase online conversions, revenue and AOV by using customer analytics to test and improve the on-site experience. This hands-on, real-world experience with KPI's (key performance indicators) will be invaluable in starting your career in the e-commerce or digital marketing landscape.
