Intermediate HTML & CSS

December 30, 2017
10:00am

Have you experimented with basic HTML/CSS, but want to take the next step in learning how to make an interesting, modern website? Already have your own site and want to have more control over it? Do you feel giddy at the prospect of learning responsive design and new HTML5 and CSS3 elements?

Then this class is for you!

YOU'LL LEARN:

• Standard practices that designers/developers use. CSS resets, standard widths, wrappers, and other tricks.

• What's this new fancy HTML5 and what can it do? Differences, compatibility, upgrades, semantics, new elements, accessibility, and how to use it today.

• CSS3 - the shiny bits! Vendor styles, new properties (rounded corners!), transitions, and what you can use today & how.

• Intro to responsive layouts. How to make a site responsive and what it means to be 'responsive.'

• Anything else that comes up! As always, we're here to candidly answer all your questions throughout the class.

PREREQUISITES:

• Understanding of HTML/CSS
